A big thank you to everyone who made Mason’s birthday weekend so special.

Under Fire......Mason in action!

After  the under 9’s cricket team presentation at Sprotbrough Country Club on Friday night and Central Park in town Saturday he especially enjoyed the laser combat at Bawtry Paintball Fields.

Mason invited 11 of his friends to join him at the forest on Saturday. The lads were split into 2 team’s, blue challenged the red before both took on The Predator.

A great time was had by all.

Right Place……..Right Time?

Rainbow over Christ Church, Doncaster.

As a photographer you always think about the one that got away!

Whilst driving at dusk you will see the perfect sunset from your car, a Kestrel hovering at the roadside or some news event unfolding before your eyes. I can guarantee by the time you find a place to park, grab your kit from the car and get into position the moment will almost be gone.

Whilst covering a PR shoot this evening I was lucky enough to still be around at the venue as the late sun created this rainbow and stunning ‘warm’ sunset over Doncaster’s Christ Church and Thorne Road………

…………a fabulous end to the day!

The featured image is of  HRH Princess Anne emerging from Harworth Colliery, North Nottinghamshire after a visit in September 2009.

The Princess Royal dressed in overalls, hardhat and protective glasses travelled more than 2 miles underground to visit coalminers working on the coal face.

Abigail, Graphic Designer and Traditional Artist

A big thanks to graphic designer and traditional artist, Abigail, who gave up her weekend to put the finishing touches to my son’s, Mason, new bedroom.

Being a big Crowded House fan there was only one song that was going to appear on Mason’s wall. I will now try and persuade the wife to have the 14 song’s that appear on Woodface painted in our bedroom……….No chance!

I cover football at all levels and carry photographic accreditation for the English Premier and football league’s. It’s a privilege to cover the top games for the national press but get just as much enjoyment photographing our under 9′ playing on a Sunday morning.

Today Sprotbrough Crusaders were ‘turned over’ by Rossington in the Doncaster & District Junior Football League. I won’t report the score but take time to have a look at the web gallery of images to see the grit and determination these young people give every time they play. Perhaps some of our professional league players ought to be showing the same kind of passion? ………………and especially when playing for their country!
